"Atlantic Adventurer could well be the best way of experiencing the maritime beauty that is Newfoundland. A 46 ft. ketch, it can handle big ocean swells well enough to track down icebergs and whales yet navigate narrow harbours for a hike through some of the provinces outports ... the small settlements along this rugged coastline". Birds & Bergs
Our guests relive the sensations of the early explorers who arrived in Trinity Bay by sail, 500 years ago. Sightings of humpback, finback and minke whales are quite common all summer long. Icebergs drift past our shores in late spring and early summer. See bald eagles and the many species of northern seabirds that nest in the cliffs and on islands in our immediate area and we sail past a spectacular, rugged coastline. You can help us raise the sails and steer the vessel or just sit back, relax and enjoy the surroundings.
Duration: 2 - 2 ½ hours
$65 per person. Minimum of 4 people to sail or monetary equivalent. $40 for children under 12 years old and no charge for children under 2. Taxes included.
